A mouth-watering Raw banana halwa recipe that you need to check out :

Ingredients :

  1. Raw banana porridge powder – 1/4 cup
  2. Jaggery powder – 2 tbsp 
  3. Water – 1.5 cups
  4. Ghee – 2.5 tbsp
  5. Chopped nuts/powdered nuts – 1 tbsp
  6. Cardamom Powder – 1/4 tsp

Method :

  1. Take powdered jaggery in a pan and add 1/4 cup of water to it and cook it until it melts completely.Keep it aside.
  2. Next put raw banana powder in another thick bottomed pan and heat it. Add 1.5 cups of water to it and mix everything slowly with a whisk. Make sure that there are no lumps formed.
  3. Then add in strained jaggery mixture followed by 2.5 tbsp of ghee.
  4. Now add in the cardamom powder. Cook everything in the low medium flame until it becomes thick.Stir it continuously while cooking otherwise it may stick to the bottom of the vessel and form lumps.
  5. Cook until the entire mix will leave the sides of the pan. Add in more ghee if required.Next add in the toasted nuts and switch off the flame once done.
  6. Transfer the halwa from the pan to a ghee greased plate. Spread the halwa in a flat plate and smooth out the top. After the halwa cools down, cut into squares.
